Job Description

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Finance Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that financial transactions are processed and recorded accurately and timely, in line with university policy and procedures.

You will work closely with other teams to resolve any financial issues that may arise, providing exceptional support to staff, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Process financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial data within the Financial Systems.
  • Provide assistance to staff and clients on financial matters and processes.
  • Resolve queries from clients and staff proactively, tactfully, and effectively.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience working with computerised financial systems.
  • Excellent numeracy skills, data entry, and validation skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
