**The Role**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to lead our teams in delivering high-quality support services. As a Disability Support Leader, you will be responsible for managing teams, developing staff, and implementing effective support strategies that enhance the well-being and quality of life for our participants.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Manage and develop a team of support workers to deliver person-centred active support services.

- Develop and implement effective support plans that meet the unique needs of each participant.

- Provide coaching and mentorship to support workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and participant outcomes.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in working with people with intellectual or other disability and their families.
  • Extensive experience in supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs and delivering high-intensity support in a person-centred manner.
  • Confidence in assisting with behavioural challenges.
  • Proven experience in implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to enhance participant well-being and outcomes.
  • Certificate IV specialising in Disability Studies and/or Human Services and/or substantial experience in this or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting or coaching support staff in community settings.
  • Continuous improvement methodology.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work using own initiative.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and adopt a flexible approach to working methods and time.
  • Ability to enthuse others and be a good team player.
  • Proficiency in the use of IT, in particular MS Office.
  • Current NDIS Clearance.
  • Senior First Aid / Basic Emergency Life Support, and CPR certificate.
  • Hold a current driver's license, have access to a vehicle, and be willing to drive to undertake HomePlace business.
  • COVID Vaccinated x 3.

  • An estimated salary range of $63,231 - $127,961 per annum, depending on experience.
