HomePlace, a pioneering organization in the field of disability support, is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join its team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support, ensuring that each individual receives tailored care and guidance to enhance their overall well-being and quality of life.
About the Position:
- Provide direct support to individuals who have contracted HomePlace as their provider, focusing on fostering social and economic participation.
- Facilitate connections and relationships that promote community involvement and inclusivity.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of supports in participants' homes, prioritizing their needs and preferences.
- Mentor and coach support staff, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure effective communication, shared goals, and collective success.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with people with intellectual or other disabilities and their families.
- Extensive experience in supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs and delivering high-intensity support in a person-centred manner.
- Confidence in assisting with behavioural challenges and implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies.
- Certificate IV specialising in Disability Studies and/or Human Services and/or substantial experience in this or a similar role.
- Experience coaching support staff in community settings and proficiency in Continuous Improvement methodology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
