About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced support worker to join our team in a leadership role.

The primary function of this position is to provide direct support to individuals who have contracted HomePlace as their provider.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster connections and relationships that enhance social and economic participation for individuals being supported
  • Orient new team members and mentor staff to ensure seamless support delivery
  • Oversee daily management of supports, ensuring efficient operations and effective communication
  • Facilitate team meetings and drive collaboration among staff
  • Provide person-centred active support across a 7-day weekly schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers

Requirements:
  • Minimum two years' experience in supporting people with intellectual or other disabilities and their families
  • Extensive experience delivering high-intensity support in a person-centred manner, particularly with complex healthcare needs
  • Proven ability to implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to enhance participant well-being and outcomes
  • Certificate IV in Disability Studies and/or Human Services, or substantial experience in a similar role
  • Experience coaching support staff in community settings, with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies and project management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to enthuse others and be an excellent team player, with proficiency in MS Office and IT systems
  • Current NDIS Clearance, Senior First Aid/BLS/CPR certification, and a valid driver's license

A competitive hourly rate of $37.93 - $75.86 applies, depending on days and time worked, along with leave entitlements, allowances, and salary packaging opportunities.
