Geotechnical Risk Specialist

Description

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Risk Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Resilience & Natural Hazards unit, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive geotechnical risk framework to manage Council's obligations with respect to geotechnical risks.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert technical advice on reactive geotechnical issues, supporting both strategic planning and operational activities. You will also contribute specialist input to capital works and on-ground projects, ensuring geotechnical risks are identified, assessed, and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering and risk management, with experience in developing and implementing risk frameworks. You will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and risk management
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical risk management principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
