The successful candidate will have extensive experience in geotechnical investigation, analysis and design, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results on complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead geotechnical designs for surface and underground structures.
  • Analyse and prepare recommendations and reports for projects relating to geotechnical interpretation, foundation design, slope stability, dams and other geotechnical aspects.
  • Work closely with teams in Australia and overseas to deliver design solutions.
  • Understand materials testing objectives to support geotechnical investigation and design recommendations.
  • Be able to lead project tenders and cost estimates.
  • Train and mentor team members.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and clients, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
  • Strong numerical/analytical capabilities and proven geotechnical design experience.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
  • Experience in developing Geotechnical Base Line reports is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop and lead geotechnical design teams.
  • Understanding of the needs and approach to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, work planning and commercial management.
