About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety (HSE) professional to join our team at Transgrid. As a Senior HSE Business Partner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Specialist Advice: Offer expert guidance and coordination services to operational business units on Health and Safety matters.
  • Trusted Advisor: Act as a coach and advisor for health and safety strategic and tactical programs, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Communication Strategies: Develop and implement effective communication strategies and prepare communication artefacts to support HSE functions and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications, minimum Certificate IV level, in Work Health and Safety or equivalent relevant experience.
  • NSW WorkCover "White Card".
  • Extensive, relevant industry experience in WHS.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of WHS legislative agencies, relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Guidelines (including the National Electricity Network Safety Code).
  • Industry Safety Rules and Guidelines.
  • A comprehensive understanding of WHS systems and programs as well as Risk Management principles.
  • Understanding of H&S auditing and demonstrated experience in the implementation of AS 4801 would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Experience in applying change management principles to projects.
  • Conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed and demonstrable presentation and report writing skills.
  • Competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Current driver's licence.
