We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a National HSE Assurance Business Partner, based at our corporate office in Sydney Olympic Park.

The main focus of this role is to drive and support the delivery of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) assurance programs aligned with the Thales Australia/New Zealand business and HSE strategies, ensuring conformance with regulatory requirements and improving HSE management system outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and oversee HSE assurance programs, ensuring they are comprehensive and in line with relevant regulations and internal systems.
  • Support the business in obtaining and maintaining external management system certifications such as ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO9001.
  • Provide scheduling and logistical support for internal and external assurance activities.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the company's HSE Management System, including integration with other management systems and processes.
  • Evaluate HSE documents for compliance with workplace health and safety and environmental legislation, and support national programs focused on improving work health and safety outcomes.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum AQF level 5 qualification in work health and safety.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in work, health, and safety, preferably in large complex organizations.
  • Experience as an ISO45001/ISO14001 and/or Integrated Management System auditor.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver practical HSE assurance programs in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Proficiency in developing and using HSE Information Management Systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate performance, and drive positive change in HSE culture.
