About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE professional to join our team at CBRE. As an HSE Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, clients, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide HSE support to our property management business, specifically our strategic client account.
  2. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide subject matter expert advice, education, and support.
  3. Support and deliver the implementation of initiatives and projects to manage health and safety risks.
  4. Cooperate with the procurement team in reviewing HSE impacts of maintenance and service agreements.
  5. Influence key business stakeholders to drive positive HSE outcomes and behaviors.
  6. Coordinate incident reporting, investigation, regulatory reporting, and return-to-work programs.
  7. Conduct and assist in audit preparation for internal and third-party audits.
  8. Develop HSE training specific to our strategic account, including induction and risk-specific training.
  9. Lead and mentor a small HSE team to achieve strategic outcomes for the account.
  10. Assist the business in facilitating HSE consultative forums and integrating HSE processes into new business ventures.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum 5 years of experience in a HSE/risk and compliance-related role, ideally within a larger corporate environment.
  2. Preferred experience in the property industry, but not essential.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Pragmatic time management and organizational skills to manage multiple workflows with changing priorities.
  5. A strong ability to interpret data and key performance metrics.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  7. Sound negotiation and presentation skills with a customer service focus.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence at all business levels.
  9. Willingness to travel interstate on a relatively consistent basis, or as the role requires.
  10. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and experience in a documented management system using a Sharepoint environment.
  11. Qualified AS/NZS 4801 and/or Safety Map Auditor, RTW Coordinator, iCAM, or Tap Root investigation certification.
