We are seeking a visionary Product Strategist to drive the transformation of our AI systems and solutions in the mining industry.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing AI systems and solutions that redefine what's possible in mining. They will be instrumental in driving innovation, improving efficiency, and enhancing productivity through the application of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve Business Outcomes: Develop vision for AI systems and solutions, including value-based roadmaps and quarterly planning sessions.
  • Drive Innovation: Create business cases for new AI systems and solutions, including opportunity sizing, delivery models, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Define Product Requirements: Conduct data analysis and user research to define product requirements and features, with clear documentation for development teams.
  • Prioritise Backlog: Build, groom, and prioritise the product backlog, developing user stories and acceptance criteria for each sprint, and accepting sprint results.
  • Track Performance: Define, implement, and track performance metrics once solutions enter production, including adoption and impact.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leadership: In collaboration with technical leadership, define necessary competencies and skills required in the delivery team.
  • User Adoption: Drive user adoption and engagement, running demos and showcases to target users and the broader business.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in AI & analytics product development or mine operations technical disciplines (mining, blending, supply chain operations) with technical project delivery experience.
  • Cross-functional team experience and ability to communicate effectively across multiple business areas (operations, technology).
  • Solid business understanding and high-level understanding of product delivery.
  • Modern product development toolkit, including agile development, OKR methodologies, lean testing, user research, and product roadmap development.
  • Experience using AI solutions and systems to drive improvements in efficiency and productivity in mining or heavy industrial applications.
