About the Role

As a Compassionate Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored care and support to residents living with dementia.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who share our passion for serving elderly people and want to make a difference in their lives.

You will work closely with our residents, understanding their unique needs and preferences to create a home away from home environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including showering, grooming, and toileting.
  • Engage residents in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
  • Support residents with varying levels of dementia, recognising and responding to changes in their condition within your skills and competencies.

All new staff will undergo comprehensive onboarding and training, including orientation with a Workplace Trainer, buddy shifts, and ongoing support from experienced Registered Nurses and Managers.

Requirements
  • A genuine passion for working with elderly people and making a positive impact on their lives.
  • Flexibility to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Experience and knowledge of caring for people living with dementia, with a focus on understanding their complex needs.
  • Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care is highly regarded.
