Our organization is a leading paper and packaging business with an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Professional to join our team across Victoria and Tasmania.

The primary focus of this role will be to:

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Provide health and safety support and advice to sites across the two states
  • Support other Victorian sites as backup to the other safety managers on an 'as required' basis
  • Ensure key safety risks are managed for employees and contractors
  • Support the strategic rollout of standardized systems and practices across our sites
  • Engage health and safety representatives and committees, and ensure worker consultation requirements are met

To excel in this role, we would ideally like you to have:

  • Experience in similar roles advising or overseeing site safety matters
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong ongoing relationships with stakeholders
  • An optimistic, enthusiastic mindset, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel to different sites across Victoria and Tasmania (this role will visit Tasmania for a minimum of 1 week per month)
  • Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist the broader team where required
  • Prior experience implementing health and safety processes and systems (highly regarded)
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or fast-paced warehousing environment (viewed favorably)
