Job Overview
The Senior Case Manager plays a pivotal role within our community operations team, ensuring public safety through efficient case management of high-risk sexual and violent offenders.
This position requires the incumbent to conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized plans, and monitor compliance with court and parole board orders. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and the community.
To excel in this role, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of offender assessment practices, risk management strategies, and evidence-based interventions. A commitment to promoting positive behavioral change and reducing reoffending is also crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and progressive assessments of risk and program suitability
- Identify and respond appropriately to risks arising from offender assessment
- Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the conditions and requirements of court and parole board orders
- Monitor compliance with legislation and agency procedures and standards
- Ensure security, maintenance, accuracy, access, and appropriateness of case notes and intervention reports
- Develop intervention strategies to facilitate appropriate behavioral and attitudinal change in offenders
- Coordinate, facilitate, and monitor the implementation of offender management plans
- Execute duties as an officer of the Court
- Support the development of peers and delivery of quality offender management through peer verification, mentoring, and coaching of junior and/or geographically displaced staff
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of offender assessment practices, risk management strategies, and evidence-based interventions
- Commitment to promoting positive behavioral change and reducing reoffending
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
