Job Description

The APS5 Case Management Support role is an opportunity to work with a dynamic Legal Operations team.

This contract is based in the Brisbane CBD, with the option to work from home 1-2 days per week.

About The Role
  • Analyse and assess Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) Applications received by the Agency.
  • Create and update records and file supporting documentation in the Agency's business systems.
  • Prepare comprehensive ART case summaries to support matter management and allocation to ART case managers.
  • Prepare and file Tribunal documents as required for ART applications within statutory time frames.
  • Provide support for interlocutory applications and instruct internal lawyers to resolve or progress them.
  • Assess and respond to risk from processes, including privacy considerations and priority.
  • Research and draft responses for complaints, Ministerial and other documents as required.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new starters.
Key Responsibilities
  • High caseload management with competing priorities, meet deadlines and prioritise work in line with risk and due dates.
  • Strong analytical skills, highly organised and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Understanding of legislation relevant to the ART Operations team, particularly the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 and the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) Act.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Experience working within the ART or dispute resolution environment.
  • Paralegal or similar background.
  • Australian Citizenship.
