The Opportunity

John Holland is seeking an experienced Senior Project Procurement Manager to join our Major Projects division in Adelaide. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role involves:

  • Establishing and maintaining a register of subcontractors and identifying key data for each subcontract
  • Selecting acceptable subcontractors and suppliers
  • Negotiating with subcontractors and ensuring their agreements align with project risk management principles
  • Overseeing procurement processes for subcontract and supply agreements to ensure timely and budget-friendly awards
  • Leading the identification and quantification of Head Contract Scope changes and negotiations with the Client
  • Managing disputes or major claims with subcontractors or the Client
  • Preparation and approval of monthly progress claims and disputed progress payments

About You

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
  • Experience with Industrial projects having significant M&E components
  • Significant experience in Contracts and Commercial Management on complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong leadership skills and experience leading contracts administration teams
  • Good communication and negotiation skills

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum (depending on experience)
