The role of a Hospital Security Officer revolves around monitoring the safety and security of high-profile healthcare facilities.
This officer is entrusted with safeguarding clients, staff, visitors, and premises by conducting regular surveillance and assessments.
- Ensure continuous vigilance for any signs of disorder, crime, hazards, or unusual occurrences
- Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to inspect for potential threats, blocked access points, security breaches, equipment malfunctions, and unauthorized personnel
- Utilize de-escalation techniques both verbally and physically as needed
- Maintain all security systems and fire control equipment in optimal working condition
- Screen individuals including members, visitors, and employees to facilitate efficient entry into the facility
- Respond promptly and calmly to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, water leaks, elevator malfunctions, hazardous materials spills, or inclement weather
Requirements include prior experience in handling customer interactions, troubleshooting, and managing stressful situations, as well as being at least 18 years old for unarmed positions and possessing a high school diploma or equivalent.
