In this teaching-focused position, you will deliver teaching and research in Tourism and lead the Newcastle Business School's Career Ready Graduates strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering high-quality teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Leading the Career Ready Graduates strategy, developing placement courses, industry engagement models, and integrating career readiness into the curriculum.
- Building industry connections to support innovative research, knowledge exchange, work-integrated learning, and graduate employment opportunities.
- Engaging in collaborative, interdisciplinary research that can impact the tourism field.
- Co-supervising PhD students and contributing to the academic community through service and leadership.
You will have a PhD in Tourism or a related area, and relevant experience in quality teaching and research. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- A proven track record in leadership in the Career Ready Graduates area, including development of Career Ready Placement courses and models and engagement with industry.
- Ability and willingness to teach in the first-year core course in management.
The remuneration for this position is from $138,079 - $159,217 +17% superannuation, commensurate with experience. We offer a range of benefits and extras, including additional leave, flexible working, and discounts.
