We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer to join our team at the University of Newcastle's Newcastle Business School. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering excellence in teaching, research, and industry engagement in the areas of Tourism and Event Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Research: Deliver high-quality teaching and research in Tourism and Event Management, including course design, delivery, and assessment.
  • Industry Engagement: Foster strong relationships with industry stakeholders to drive innovative research, work-integrated learning, and graduate employment opportunities.
  • Student Supervision: Co-supervise PhD students and provide guidance and support to ensure their academic success.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of new curricula in Tourism and Event Management, with a focus on work-integrated learning and authentic assessment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A PhD in Tourism/Event Management or a related area.
  • Teaching and Research Experience: A proven record of teaching and research at Senior Lecturer level.
  • Industry Engagement: Evidence of successful engagement with industry stakeholders in the area of Tourism and Event Management.
  • Curriculum Development: Experience in designing and developing new curricula in Tourism/Event Management.
