Job Overview:
This is a casual position that offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of families and children.
The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse who will provide targeted support to identified children from birth to 6 years old and their families, focusing on health promotion and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home support to families experiencing early parenting difficulties through collaborative care models.
- Deliver high-quality evidence-based practice to strengthen parenting capacity and improve family functioning.
- Empower families to make informed decisions about their children's health and development.
- Conduct health promotion activities through education and information on parenting topics, including breastfeeding, nutrition, and immunisation.
- Evaluate and intervene early to improve linkages with other childhood support systems.
- Facilitate system processes for intake, assessment, allocation, and transfer of care.
About You:
- You must be a Division 1 Registered Nurse (AHPRA) and/or Registered Midwife (AHPRA).
- A Graduate Diploma or Masters in Maternal and Child Health, Family and Child Health, or equivalent qualification is required.
- Prior experience as an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse is preferred.
- A current Victorian driver's license and Working with Children Check are necessary.
