The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse who will provide targeted support to identified children from birth to 6 years old and their families, focusing on health promotion and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home support to families experiencing early parenting difficulties through collaborative care models.
  • Deliver high-quality evidence-based practice to strengthen parenting capacity and improve family functioning.
  • Empower families to make informed decisions about their children's health and development.
  • Conduct health promotion activities through education and information on parenting topics, including breastfeeding, nutrition, and immunisation.
  • Evaluate and intervene early to improve linkages with other childhood support systems.
  • Facilitate system processes for intake, assessment, allocation, and transfer of care.

About You:

  • You must be a Division 1 Registered Nurse (AHPRA) and/or Registered Midwife (AHPRA).
  • A Graduate Diploma or Masters in Maternal and Child Health, Family and Child Health, or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Prior experience as an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse is preferred.
  • A current Victorian driver's license and Working with Children Check are necessary.
