Claims Officer Role Summary
As a Claims Officer, you will be responsible for managing workplace injury claims and supporting clients through the return-to-work process.
- Act as the first point of contact for injured workers, employers, medical practitioners, etc. regarding workplace injury claims;
- Drive the return-to-work process through proactive claims management services, including determining entitlements, scheduling appointments, undertaking regular contacts and reviews, and processing benefits/payments in accordance with relevant legislation;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of claims;
Requirements
- A strong passion for helping people and experience in administration or customer service;
- A background in workers compensation, claims, or related disciplines would be highly regarded;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation and with varied stakeholders;
- Highly developed strategic mindset, with exceptional time management and organisational skills;
- Empathetic and enthusiastic, with a strong sense of team and collaboration;
