About the Role

This is a permanent position within the General Insurance sector, focusing on Underwriting. We are seeking an experienced Development Underwriter to join our team in the North East & Scotland region.

As a key member of our Underwriting team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with a specific panel of brokers, working closely with our Trading, Cyber, and Broker Development Directors to achieve strategic aims and income goals.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building broker relationships and developing a pipeline of business, with a strong enthusiasm for engaging with brokers and educating them on the benefits of our products.

You will be responsible for writing complex Cyber business, in-line with your authority level, and within our appetite for risk. Your successes will be visible to the Board on both sides of the Atlantic, making this a high-profile position with excellent opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong broker relationships
  • Support the development plan for a specific panel of brokers
  • Write complex Cyber business within authority levels and appetite for risk
  • Provide excellent service to all stakeholders
