Community Care Specialist

The role of a Community Care Specialist is to provide essential support and empowerment to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live life on their own terms and be valued members of their community.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will play an active role in delivering person-centred programs that promote independence, participation, and social inclusion.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality support services to clients, fostering positive relationships and promoting their overall well-being
  • Implement behaviour support plans utilising evidence-based strategies, ensuring client safety and satisfaction
  • Assist clients with personal care needs, maintaining a safe and respectful environment
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and record-keeping, informing service development and improvement
Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Ability to provide personal care support, comfortable with this aspect of the role
  • Current Australian driver's licence
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Working With Children Check (NSW) or willingness to obtain
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude, with integrity, honesty, and respect as core values
