Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Sterilisation Process Specialist.
This position requires strong technical knowledge and experience in sterilisation services and instrument processing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cleaning, drying, packing, and sterilising processes for reprocessing of items in accordance with AS 4187.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sterilisation:
- Manage the cleaning, drying, packing, and sterilising processes for reprocessing of items in accordance with AS 4187.
- Safety and Quality:
- Maintain safe practice while processing contaminated items according to Universal precautions policy.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Utilise chemicals appropriately and maintain correct sterilisation documentation.
- Troubleshooting:
- Solve processing issues effectively and take necessary actions.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure decontamination and sterilisation processes are employed correctly.
- A Certificate in Sterilisation Technology is required, along with experience in sterilisation services and instrument processing.
- Demonstrate competencies associated with work practice requirements of CSSD.
- Ability to problem-solve and liaise with colleagues and health professionals effectively.
