At the heart of this role lies the responsibility to assist member schools with strategic planning, negotiation, drafting and approval of Enterprise Agreements in an industrial environment where relevant unions hold key positions.

The ideal candidate will be required to provide expert consultancy services on a full range of Employee Relations matters including compliance with the Fair Work Act, managing underperformance and misconduct, Award and Enterprise Agreement compliance, managing change and restructures, and ill and injured workers.

This individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously and be comfortable working in a team environment. They should also have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant workplace relations legislation.

A strong background in employee relations, combined with a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Law, is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate, draft and approve Enterprise Agreements in unionised environments.
  • Provide high quality expert consultancy services on Employee Relations matters.
  • Comply with Fair Work Act requirements.
  • Manage underperformance and misconduct.
  • Maintain Award and Enterprise Agreement compliance.
  • Effectively manage change and restructures.
  • Support ill and injured workers.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years experience as an Employee Relations Specialist.
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiating and drafting Enterprise Agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant workplace relations legislation.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Law.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
