The role of the Biosecurity Engagement Coordinator involves overseeing a network of Biosecurity Engagement Officers in Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia. This entails providing mentoring and management support to ensure high-quality outputs and effective service delivery.
- Maintaining relationships with Indigenous Communities in northern Australia.
- Ensuring team cohesion and contributing to the development of team objectives.
- Providing project management, planning, budgeting, analysing and reporting support for program initiatives and operations.
- Supporting biosecurity surveillance activities through a fee for service model.
- Experience in service or project delivery in remote communities would be an advantage.
- Cultural awareness, particularly in working with First Nations people in remote areas in northern Australia.
- Understanding of the functions of NAQS and biosecurity in northern Australia.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team and individually to meet key deliverables.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, supporting the delivery of biosecurity surveillance activities across northern Australia.
