Cardiology Service Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Service Development Specialist to contribute to the development of a tertiary paediatric cardiology service within Cairns Hospital and Health Service. The successful candidate will provide sub-specialty cardiology services with nursing and Indigenous healthcare workers, working collaboratively to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a paediatric cardiology service in collaboration with Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH), providing cardiac surgical and intervention services.
- Provide ambulatory and inpatient care for children and young people requiring sub-speciality cardiology services.
- Participate in outreach programs to Torres and Cape HHS and Cairns and Hinterland HHS catchments.
- Care for a population including many Indigenous children in remote communities with high rates of rheumatic heart disease.
- Fetal echocardiography and imaging are highly desirable skills for this role.
This position requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
