Job Description

Job Summary:

Aequalis Consulting (Finance & Accounting) is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing financial insights, shaping business strategies, and supporting decision-making processes that drive financial excellence and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy Development: Partner closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and senior business leaders to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's goals.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to guide strategic decision-making across various lines of business.
  • Financial Advisory Services: Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs, challenges, and opportunities, offering tailored financial advice and solutions.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Drive the budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Financial Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.
  • Financial Reporting and Presentations: Support the CFO in preparing presentations and reports for the executive team and board, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable information.
  • Financial Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Financial Advisory and Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to the business, fostering a culture of financial accountability and transparency.
  • Project Development and Execution: Contribute to the development and execution of key projects that will shape the future direction of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, Financial Analyst, or similar role, ideally within a large, complex organization.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial insights to business strategy.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Financial Modeling and Reporting: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Regulatory Experience: Experience in a complex or highly regulated sector is a plus, but not essential; a passion for making an impact in a critical industry is key.
  • Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement: A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Financial Qualifications: CPA, CA, or equivalent financial qualification is preferred.
