Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Shift Leader to join our team. As a shift leader, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient running of day-to-day operations in the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leading the restaurant team in efficient day-to-day operations
  2. Being a role model for the standards and behaviours consistent with the company values and culture
  3. Assisting in training, developing, and driving the team to deliver positive and memorable customer experiences
  4. Assisting with hiring new team members and on-boarding them
  5. Assisting in managing the team, including staff performance reviews, and rostering staff
  6. Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard
  7. Assisting with ordering of stock from various suppliers
  8. Assisting with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll and reviewing policies
  9. Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room and general restaurant
  10. Assisting with executing marketing promotions
  11. Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety
Requirements:
  • Previous shift supervisor experience
  • Passionate about humanitarian values and ready to make a difference
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to both customers and colleagues
  • Ability to maintain a professional, well-groomed and neat appearance at all times
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing customer levels as required
  • Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment
