IT Portfolio Manager

About the role:

This is a senior position responsible for overseeing IT projects and portfolios, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and deliver value to the organization.

The successful candidate will have expertise in project management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, as well as experience working with vendors and managing technical change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic portfolio management: oversee IT projects and ensure they align with organizational goals
  • Program & Project Management: lead the IT PMO function and develop project governance frameworks to ensure timely delivery of technology projects
  • Stakeholder Engagement: identify and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on project progress
  • Risk Management: effectively manage project-related risks and issues, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place
  • Vendor Management: work closely with vendors, ensuring strong adoption of technology across the organization

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or Project Management (desirable)
  • Professional project management qualifications/certification (mandatory)
  • Extensive PMO experience in delivering cross-functional projects, including stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and technical change management
