Shift Technician Role

About this Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Shift Technician to join our Maintenance team at a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have experience with high-speed packaging equipment, particularly Krones and Kosme filling and packaging lines.

This is a day shift-only position on a 7-shift fortnightly rotating roster. You will be working hands-on with industry-leading machinery, supporting and maintaining Krones and Kosme filling and packaging lines.

The successful applicant will report to a supportive Maintenance Manager, who will provide ongoing training and development opportunities.

Roster Details:

  • 84 hours per fortnight
  • 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
  • 7 shifts per fortnight: 2 on - 2 off - 3 on - 2 off - 2 on - 3 off
  • Enjoy two full weekends off per month

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform accurate fault finding and root cause analysis
  2. Support and maintain Krones and Kosme filling and packaging lines
  3. Drive preventative and planned maintenance activities
  4. Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site
  5. Maintain accurate spare parts inventories and support stock control
  6. Ensure safe, hygienic, and compliant operations across all maintenance tasks

About You:

  • Trade-qualified Fitter or Electrician
  • Must have experience with high-speed packaging equipment, particularly Krones and Kosme
  • Sound understanding of GMP, SOPs, ISO, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Confident in diagnosing faults and conducting repairs under pressure
  • Computer literate, with excellent communication skills
  • A forklift license is a plus (not essential)
  • A team player with a proactive, can-do mindset
