Job Opportunity

Mechanical maintenance technicians play a crucial role in maintaining the city's infrastructure. We are seeking skilled professionals to contribute to the upkeep of mechanical and electrical assets.

  • Undertake repairs and maintenance duties, including hands-on work on water tanks/reservoirs, wastewater treatment plants, and associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Meet deadlines with all works and assist in the development and training of apprentices.
  • Identify areas for improvement within planned maintenance scope and participate in the after-hours on-call roster.
Essential Requirements
  • Certificate III in Fitting, Turning and Machining is mandatory.
  • An unrestricted C-Class driver's licence is also required.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience as a maintenance fitter in a challenging environment.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to consult with staff, customers, and the public. They will also demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, and sound judgment, with a responsible attitude towards time keeping and quality control.
