Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WHS Business Partner to join our People, Engagement & Culture (PEC) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our safety management system, ensuring the safety, health, and wellbeing of our workforce, and driving positive change and education in safety performance, leadership, and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist expertise and advice on a broad range of WHS matters, including risk management and policy development.
  • Develop and maintain key WHS documentation, including policies, procedures, guidance, and training material.
  • Support our WHS Committees to ensure our processes and practices align with WHS legislation and the organisational WHS management framework.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of WHS risk management and risk assessment activities.
  • Develop strong partnerships across the business and implement a range of WHS initiatives aligned with the WHS management system.
  • Develop, deliver, coordinate, plan, and assess WHS training programs.
  • Identify and implement WHS improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Ability to proactively educate, guide, and provide supportive advice that drives quality WHS initiatives and programs.
  • Skills to negotiate, influence, and drive change, whilst being collaborative, to achieve strategic WHS goals.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant WHS legislation, guidelines, and WHS management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in WHS risk management, policy development, and implementation.
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) with demonstrated diverse and experience in safety.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, engage, motivate, and influence others to achieve positive safety outcomes.
  • Ability to develop and deliver WHS programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in the development of preventative strategies to minimise WHS risks in the workplace.
