About this Role
Our organization offers residential care and support to children and young people who are referred through the Child Protection system. The Residential Care Worker plays a vital role in the day-to-day operation of our units, responding to the young person's emotional and functional needs, developing their personal skills, and ensuring all administrative requirements and household duties are completed.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or other similar tertiary qualifications
- A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing
- The ability to demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open-minded and non-judgmental manner
- Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation, including the ability to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability, and consistency
