Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Care Worker to join our team in Bendigo VIC. This is a full-time opportunity within our Out of Home Care Program, offering a challenging and rewarding role that makes a positive difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for participating in the day-to-day operation of the unit, responding to the emotional and functional needs of the young people in your care, developing their personal skills, and contributing to administrative requirements and household duties.
Essential Requirements:
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications).
- A genuine interest in the wellbeing of young people and a demonstrated capacity to provide empathy, understanding, and support in an open-minded and non-judgmental manner.
- Highly developed emotional self-regulation skills, including the ability to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability, and consistency.
