Teaching Role in a Supportive Environment

Cedars Christian College is seeking dedicated and compassionate teachers to join our ASPIRE program. This special school caters to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual impairments, providing a nurturing environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.

The ASPIRE curriculum is designed to meet the unique needs of each child, emphasizing smaller classroom settings and stage-based learning plans founded on a Biblical worldview. Our intentional approach prioritizes investment in remedial literacy, numeracy programs, and critical life skills.

In 2026, our school will have enrolments from Years 3-8, consisting of two small classes. Each class will have approximately 5-10 students, a Class Teacher, and a Learning and Wellbeing Assistant.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs
  2. Establish safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environments through development and implementation of learning and behaviour management plans
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to drive innovation and excellence in teaching practice
  4. Provide regular progress updates to parents and guardians
Desirable Qualifications
  • Special Educational qualifications or relevant professional experience
  • Experience working with students with disability
  • Capacity to incorporate a Christian worldview into lessons
Application Requirements

Applicants must be committed Christians, actively engaged in their church community. A Working with Children Check (WWCC) Number is also required.
