Job Title:

Court Services Officer

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the modernization and improvement of the court system, emphasizing safety, innovation, efficiency, and enhanced access to justice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for the efficient operation of Court Services Queensland registries.
  • Frontline Services: Offer frontline services to court users, responding to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner.
  • In-Court Duties: Perform various duties in court, including unlocking and preparing courtrooms, making proclamations, administering oaths, and maintaining security.
  • Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV): Recognize and address risks related to DFSV.
  • Process Compliance: Adhere to established processes, policies, and procedures to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
  • Document Management: Prepare, process, and manage administrative and financial documents.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide technical and administrative support to Magistrates and court users, cultivating relationships with stakeholders, including judiciary members, government agencies, and the public.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in providing administrative support and frontline services.
  • Ability to perform in-court duties safely and effectively.
  • Understanding of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) risks and how to address them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
