About the Role

This role is focused on delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a supportive and cohesive workplace environment for all staff. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the efficient management of daily operations, including the coordination of court proceedings and delivery of services.

  • Contribute and provide effective supervision to the registry team, managing staff and providing comprehensive administrative support;
  • Support the Registrar in the coordination of court proceedings, preparation and processing of complex court matters, and recognition and action of presented risks relating to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV);
  • Cultivate professional relationships with key stakeholders, including judiciary members, government agencies, self-represented litigants, and the general public to provide effective service delivery;

The ideal candidate will have experience in Magistrates Court Civil, QCAT and QCASE application administration, and possess excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to maintain accurate documentation of technical processes and procedures, facilitate knowledge sharing within the team, and promote continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the registry team by example, promoting a culture of excellence in service delivery and fostering innovation;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction, aligning with organisational objectives;
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of referral pathways to other Government and third-party services, and relay appropriate knowledge to meet stakeholder requirements;

You will serve as a representative in court and registry committees and meetings as necessary, contributing to decision-making processes and providing expert technical advice to the court registry team. Additionally, you will carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by supervisory and management staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards and organisational objectives.
