About the role: This position will play a key role in delivering wine brand strategy and financial targets. It's a great opportunity to drive Exclusive Liquor Brand expansion and ambition.

You will lead sourcing projects related to the wine category, identifying new opportunities and ensuring that sourced products meet quality standards, commercial benchmarks, and customer satisfaction ratings. You will work with Category Managers to identify gaps in our wine portfolio and emerging product areas, and partner with the Category team to drive sales and profit performance ahead of budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify new opportunities or improve efficiencies
  • monitoring and reviewing execution of pricing, promotional management, and distribution across banners
  • liaising with category and supply chain teams to ensure optimum levels of stock
  • demonstrating understanding of consumer buying behavior

About you: You will use your commercial acumen and passion for wine to source products in line with our Wine Brand strategy and category team requirements.

You will also need:

  • demonstrated buying, category management, or sourcing experience within a retail environment
  • passion for the product (wine, beer, spirits, or ready-to-drink) and previous knowledge or experience within the Wine industry
  • outstanding influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • sound knowledge of end-to-end supply chain
