Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join our team. As a key member of the group, you will be responsible for conducting geological desk studies and supervising geotechnical investigations for various projects across Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting geological desk studies to identify potential hazards and risks associated with project sites
  • Managing and supervising geotechnical investigations, including logging, sampling, and laboratory testing
  • Soil and rock slope stability assessments using advanced software tools
  • Quality checking logs and factual reports generated by others
  • Production of geotechnical factual and interpretive reports
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • A good understanding of the ANZ industry and technical standards
  • Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in engineering geology and geohazards competency
  • Broad knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of ground conditions, drilling, and site investigation works
  • Strong communication and reporting skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to various audiences
  • Experience with Geostudio suite (Slope/W, Seep/W) and Rocscience suite (Dips, SWedge, RocFall)
