About the Job

This role involves leading and collaborating with a team to conduct high-quality vertebrate zoological surveys and assessments. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to report on environmental legislation, survey techniques, and conduct technical fieldwork remotely and locally.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Zoology or a related field, with experience in 4WD and Class C driving licenses. Postgraduate qualifications and relevant field experience are highly desirable.

We are seeking someone who can interpret complex statistical data, build recommendations for client reports, and ensure adherence to organisational and client safety protocols. Strong leadership and project management skills are essential for this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing high-quality vertebrate zoological surveys and assessments
  • Reporting and liaising with clients on environmental legislation and survey techniques
  • Conducting efficient technical fieldwork and sampling
  • Undertaking baseline and monitoring projects throughout Western Australia
  • Contributing to the delivery of complex projects with support from the Team Lead group
  • Ensuring organisational and client safety protocols are adhered to
  • Documenting and recording survey findings
About You

You will need to possess strong leadership and project management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working in a similar role is highly desirable.

A moderate level of understanding of vertebrate ecology and species identification is also highly desirable.
