Job Title: Wildlife Research Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of wildlife research associate.

About the Role:
  • This is a seasonal temporary position requiring strong fieldwork skills, including ability to work in varied outdoor conditions.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting post-construction mortality monitoring beneath operating wind turbines, identifying bird and bat carcasses discovered on-site, accurately collecting data on all bird and bat fatalities, executing bias trials, and working independently.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in natural resources, wildlife management, wildlife biology, or equivalent required.
  • Experience with or interest in bats and/or birds preferred, as well as strong bat and bird identification skills.
  • Able to walk long distances in variable conditions and maintain a positive attitude while working independently.
  • Effective communication with project managers, biologists, technicians, clients, and landowners necessary.
