Insurance and Compensation Specialist

The role of Senior Associate is available in our Insurance and Compensation department. We seek a candidate with a commercial mindset, who can handle varied and challenging workloads.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing originating motions, damages and statutory benefits litigation;
- Providing written advice and recommendations on worker's compensation and public liability matters;
- Conducting evidence gathering by interviewing witnesses and obtaining expert reports;
- Preparing and advocating mediation in Supreme and County Court proceedings;
- Familiarity with Court Rules;
- Staying up-to-date with insurance and compensation law changes through research;
- Effective management of court timetables for individual files;
- Engaging in business development activities to build professional profiles, produce articles, and present to clients, aiming to deliver seminars and enhance client relationships;
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and law graduates to foster their growth within the team.
We also encourage contributions to the Learning and Development programs at our firm, including creating and presenting CPD sessions for colleagues.
