Job Title: Commercial Law Specialist

 

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Law Specialist to join our team. As a seasoned professional in the field of fintech, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape.

 

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Australian financial services law and regulation, including consumer credit, data privacy, and AML/CTF frameworks. They will develop and implement robust commercial contracts that drive business growth while minimizing risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Commercial Contracts: Create and negotiate high-stakes commercial agreements that drive business growth and minimize risk.
  • Provide Strategic Counsel: Offer expert guidance on regulatory compliance, ensuring seamless execution of product development and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work with external experts to navigate complex matters and drive resolution.
  • Design and Deliver Training Programs: Foster a culture of compliance excellence by designing and delivering comprehensive training programs for business teams.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6-10 years PQE experience in-house or in private practice, with a strong background in fintech, payments, or consumer finance.
  • Skills: Proven track record of negotiating high-stakes commercial agreements and developing effective compliance programs. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
