Recreation Program Coordinator

About the Role
Wintringham is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to join our team at our Tom Fitzgerald Aged Care Facility. As a Recreation Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing a recreation program that meets the individual leisure needs of each resident.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating and continually developing a recreation program that maximizes the recreational independence of residents.
- Supervising and supporting other members of the recreation team in the development of programs.
- Encouraging residents to maintain their community associations and contacts.
- Ensuring accurate and relevant documentation is up to date.
- Promoting recreational opportunities available within the broader community.
Requirements
- Experience within the social sector or a degree qualification in Leisure and Lifestyle, Psychology, Community Development, or a similar discipline.
- Current driver's license.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Experience in working with older people.
- Experience in recreational program planning and implementation.
- Knowledge of local area and services.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize community groups and resources.
