Import Coordinator Job

A key location for this role is Sydney, Brisbane, Fremantle or Melbourne.

We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to process import manifests efficiently, generate accurate arrival notices and invoices, collect freight and charges, and coordinate the release of cargo.

This role involves collaboration with consignees and their agents, ship owners and operators worldwide, as well as internal staff. You will need excellent communication skills, strong personal organisation, reliability with deadlines, and the capacity to work independently.

Required skills include a good understanding of shipping procedures and documentation, as well as intermediate level Excel skills.

Salary negotiations result in a competitive annual package that includes discretionary bonuses after two years.

Our office is located at Artarmon on Sydney's north shore but we are open to candidates who can work from other offices in Brisbane, Fremantle or Melbourne with occasional attendance required at Artarmon.

Flexible working arrangements including significant work from home can be accommodated for the right candidate.

Key Duties:

  1. Process import manifests and generate accurate arrival notices.
  2. Invoice freight and local charges promptly.
  3. Ensure timely collection of freight and charges.
  4. Coordinate the release of cargo effectively.
