New Aim is a leading e-commerce company seeking a skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to support our outbound operations and distribution in Australia.

This role will work closely with our Freight Manager to ensure the efficient utilization of warehouse facilities and liaise with local freight companies to guarantee timely, accurate, and secure distribution for New Aim products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrier Communication and Coordination: Oversee daily distribution operations and ensure timely parcel dispatch by coordinating with external couriers.
  • Carrier Performance Management: Establish and track key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, on-time pickup, and carrier faulty rates. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute improvement strategies.
  • Transportation Cost Management: Ensure prompt internal updates about changes in carrier rates; review and resolve discrepancies in carrier invoices; work with carriers and internal teams to address invoicing issues, keeping costs within the target range.
  • Transportation Planning: Lead the volume planning process, collaborate with the warehouse team to devise operational plans, and provide guidance to carriers on freight pickup schedules.
  • Additional Outbound Transportation Activities: Manage the onboarding of new carriers and oversee the introduction of new processes or projects with them.
  • AD-HOC DUTIES: Act as an adaptable backup for the warehouse coordinator and inbound coordinator when required.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local courier networks and systems
  • 3-5 years of experience in the local logistics industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong logical thinking, planning abilities, and aptitude for handling unexpected challenges
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for data analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Highest standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • High-level commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and identify potential risks in contracts and agreements
