Project Engineer Job Opportunity

This is an exciting role to coordinate the delivery of engineering services and design elements for a Material Handling Package project.

Job Responsibilities
  • Accountable for performance and achievement of engineering outcomes against agreed project budgets and schedules.
  • Responsible for producing high-quality engineering design deliverables and ensuring compliance with technically acceptable standards.
  • Delegate tasks as necessary, while working within established policies and frameworks.
  • Manage and coordinate the design effort to achieve satisfactory outcomes and ensure technical integrity.
  • Work with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance and design performance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems across the division.
  • Manage customer relations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Implement initiatives for product improvement and exploit favorable opportunities for variations in project scope.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant, post graduate, engineering experience in engineering / construction environments.
  • Good knowledge and exposure in the following:
  • Determining site layouts and providing engineering input to design modelling.
  • Reviewing geotechnical reports and civil drawings.
  • Determining loads and performing soil-structure interaction analysis.
  • Design of simple foundations and slabs on ground.
  • Produce calculation reports.
