A strategic leader with expertise in life insurance claims is sought to drive the future of our operations, delivering customer-focused claims solutions while shaping our broader strategy.
About the RoleAs a Technical Claims Manager, you will play a pivotal role in setting the direction and delivering strategic objectives across our Operations team. You'll leverage your expertise in claims handling to support transformation projects and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the customer experience.
This involves partnering with senior leaders, industry experts, and cross-functional teams to build capability, uplift knowledge across the business, and embed best practice across claims, underwriting, and our Contact Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Drive strategic direction and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Lead and mentor teams, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
- Develop and implement best practice claims handling with a focus on improved outcomes and reduced duration.
- Partner with peers to strengthen capability and reputation as a thought leader.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and embed strong risk management practices.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to deliver aligned, customer-first solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years' leadership experience in Life Insurance operations within large organisations with a strong background in claims and/or underwriting.
- Proven ability to lead change, manage ambiguity, and deliver transformation.
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
- Proven customer focus and a strategic mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Commitment to quality, risk management, and customer-centric outcomes.
