Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Claims Manager to drive strategic direction and continuous improvement initiatives across our insurance operations.

You will be responsible for leading and mentoring teams, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture. Your key focus will be on developing and implementing best practice claims handling with a focus on improved outcomes and reduced duration.

You will partner with industry peers to strengthen our insurance capability and reputation as a thought leader. Ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and embedding strong risk management practices will also be a key part of your role.

You will build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to deliver aligned, customer-first solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years' leadership experience in Life Insurance operations within large, complex organisations with strong background in claims and/or underwriting in Life Insurance.
  • Proven ability to lead change, manage ambiguity, and deliver transformation.
  • Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
  • Proven customer focus and a strategic mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to quality, risk management, and customer-centric outcomes.
Benefits

This is a fixed term contract lasting 12 months. You will report directly to the Head of Insurance Operations and be based either in Parramatta or Melbourne.
