**Job Overview**
The Compliance Officer is a key role in the Investigations and Compliance team, responsible for leading compliance activities under Part 4 of the Tobacco and E-Cigarette Products Act 1997 (Restrictions on Smoking / Smoke Free Areas).
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and executing programs and projects to support the effective administration of the TEP Act and CS Act across South Australia.
- Reviewing legislation and developing sound policies, plans, protocols, and tools for monitoring compliance and enforcing requirements.
- Assessing and reporting on matters related to legislation and regulatory programs.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- A relevant science degree, such as chemistry, toxicology, biochemistry, or environmental health.
- Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Officer under the TEP Act and CS Act.
- All staff to achieve the learning outcomes defined for levels one and two as per The Aboriginal Cultural Learning Framework.
